Getting Around

The Hutt Valley has excellent public transport including trains, buses, taxis and ferries which combined will service every corner of the Wellington region including Wairarapa and the Kapiti Coast.

Free timetables, fare information and booking services are available from a Hutt Valley i -SITE Visitor Centre.

The East by West Ferry have more information about their services across Wellington harbour from Days Bay, Eastbourne to Matiu Somes Island and Queens Wharf, Wellington.

Online street maps are available or drop into an i-SITE Visitor Centre for free local maps and information and they have maps that cover both north and south islands of New Zealand.
