The Cities of Lower Hutt and Upper Hutt make the Hutt Valley have several attractions with Maori, environmental and manufacturing themes that are unique to the Lower North Island. Regional parks, the Hutt River, golf courses and the eastern beaches of Wellington Harbour offer outdoor recreation opportunities. A variety of shopping experiences can be found along with lively caf'e scene and ethnic restaurants. The Hutt Valley is a short drive by car from Wellington City.
